Chapter 1 · The origin

It started with a CRM
and a recurring question.

In 2019, Djaboo was built to solve a very specific problem: French service businesses — agencies, consultants, freelancers, BTP companies — had no CRM that felt made for them. Everything on the market was either too complex, too expensive, or too American. Djaboo was different. Simple, local, human. The first 200 customers arrived within six months, mostly through word of mouth.

But something kept coming up in support calls. Not bugs, not feature requests. A question. The same question, from different people, in different industries, every single week:

"Djaboo is great for managing my clients. But where do I find new ones in the first place?"

It was such a simple question. And yet the answer was painful. A LinkedIn search here. A Hunter.io export there. A third tool for phone numbers. A fourth to verify. A spreadsheet to merge it all. Then a manual import into the CRM. By the time you had 50 usable contacts, you'd spent three hours — and you still had no idea how many of those emails would bounce.

The tools that solved this properly cost $15,000 a year and required a sales call to even see the price. For a 3-person agency in Lyon, that wasn't an option. For a freelance consultant in Paris, it was laughable. For a 5-person SDR team at a SaaS startup, it was the wrong side of the budget allocation.

The gap was obvious. No one had filled it properly. So we decided we would.

Chapter 2 · The build

Eighteen months of
obsessive research.

We didn't start building Leadvixo until we'd spent eighteen months using every competitor we could find. Apollo. ZoomInfo. Kaspr. Lusha. Hunter. ContactOut. Snov.io. We subscribed to all of them. We exported data. We tracked bounce rates. We counted the credits. We looked at what a 5-person SDR team actually needed vs what they were paying for.

The findings were consistent. Most tools were solving the problem — but at the wrong price, with the wrong model, or with the wrong level of data freshness. ZoomInfo was excellent but priced for Fortune 500 procurement budgets. Apollo had the right features but per-seat pricing that stacked up badly for small teams. Kaspr was strong on phone data but had no company search. Hunter was fast and cheap but email-only.

The technical problem was verification. Most tools serve cached data — emails that were valid six months ago when they were scraped, but may have changed since. That's why bounce rates of 10–15% are treated as normal in the industry. We decided that wasn't acceptable. Every email in Leadvixo is validated via real-time SMTP check at the moment of reveal — not before, not after. You only spend a credit when the email is confirmed valid. That single design decision is why our deliverability stays above 94%.

The pricing model came from watching how teams actually use data tools. Per-seat pricing makes sense if you're selling to enterprise procurement — but for a 4-person agency or a 6-rep SDR team, it's punitive. Every new hire is a new line item. Every January renewal is a negotiation. We built Scale as a flat team plan: €99/month, entire team, no per-seat penalty. Add a rep on Monday and the bill doesn't change.
